The Davis Instruments 6163 Vantage Pro2 Plus with Solar and Ultra Violet Radiation sensors and Aspirated Radiation Shield transmits and receives data from up to 1,000 feet (line of sight) away - that's more than three football fields long! This upgraded weather station has all of the features that made the original Vantage Pro so popular, but adds even more features such as re-arranged buttons to make navigating frequently used functions much easier; a redesigned rain collector that is laser calibrated to ensure the highest accuracy; and an Integrated Sensor Suite with upgraded electronics. The 6163 Wireless Vantage Pro2 model also features a 24-hour fan aspirated radiation shield for even more accuracy and readings!
The 6163 Wireless Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus model with Solar and UV sensors consists of a console unit and an innovative integrated sensor suite that includes a rain collector with auto-emptying bucket, temperature and humidity sensors, and an anemometer. The sensor array is housed within a radiation shield, protecting the sensor from solar radiation and additional sources of reflected and/or radiated heat.
In addition, this high-tech Model 6163 Vantage Pro2 Plus Wireless Weather Station will track highs and lows (and/or totals and averages) for nearly any weather variable for the past 24 days, month, or year and track your local weather forecast!
With an extended transmission range that can be extended with an optional repeater, the Model 6163 Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station includes an anemometer that can be installed with the sensor array or removed and placed in a separate location.
